Usually the thematic project will follow these steps:
‧Students undertake a broad overview of the theme topic.
‧The students will be observed and their areas of interest on the topic will also be recorded.
‧Students participate in self directed activities and group discussions.
‧The teachers, along with the students, begin to plan activities that will narrow the focus of the theme topic.
‧Students are encouraged to ask questions and give suggestions at any time.
‧When students encounter problems they are encouraged to find answers for themselves. By doing so, they will be able acquired critical thinking skills, problem solving abilities and information gathering techniques.
‧Students will eventually reach a specific focus of the theme based on their interests.
‧The theme topic usually ends in the completion of a large project.
