The starting point will usually be an introduction to various folk songs form different countries. The students will learn about the melody, harmony, rhythm and style of the music and will eventually be able to perform the songs. This approach helps students to build a solid foundation for the appreciation of quality music which will enrich their lives. The students can move to the rhythm and gain a sense of the feelings portrayed through the music.

Each Season Arts campus has a well stocked music room including:
•  Drums of varying sizes, bongos and other forms of percussion
•  Glockenspiels and xylophones
•  Bells, triangles and tambourines
•  A piano
•  Shakers, rattles and other music makers

Visualizing the music especially through notation and analysis of the musical form prepares the students for performance using real instruments.

True to the Season Arts philosophy the music course is linked to the theme class and though the music is international, connections between music class and the theme are always prevalent.
