Limit time students spend focusing on only the teacher: the students are given more opportunity to ask questions and partake in meaningful discussions with each other.
Rotating station activities: activities are allocated to areas around the room, small groups move from one station to the next to explore different concepts; this means that all students are active participants in their learning.
Learning through play: students are given the time, space and resources to explore different concepts and make discoveries by themselves.
Work in collaboration with other learners: students can test out ideas and are encouraged to figure out solutions by themselves.
Our classrooms are characterized by inquiry, discovery, creativity, problem solving and self direction . The individuality and potential of each student is maximized in a multi-faceted, high quality learning environment .
Finally, we acknowledge that education is a partnership of students, parents and dedicated staff |
